"Single"

This was a watercolor value study painted in only Paine's Gray. It's a challenge to not have white as a color option and having to leave the paper unpainted for highlights. I'm learning. A single object can have a lot of depth.

I staged the scene at my friend's cottage at camp. Now when I walk by, I look at her porch in a whole new "light".

"Brooks"

This was my first watercolor. In my garden, I planted daisies as a reminder to pray from my pastor and his family. Their last name is Brooks.

Many of the prints include my favorite quote by C.S. Lewis; "If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world"
